This decision has been arrived at following a thorough evaluation of Smartsave, which considered its features, financial interests and the likely objectives, financial
situation, and needs of all members. Superhero Super offers a range of equivalent features as well as a range of enhanced benefits to what you currently enjoy as a member of Smartsave.

• A new range of investment options, including direct ASX shares and ETFs
• A fully digital member experience

Superhero Super has appointed Mercer as the investment manager for all Diversified and Single Sector investment options (Managed Investment Options). Mercer was also the investment manager for the Smartsave fund and is one of the largest investment managers in Australia.

Superhero Super also offers members a range of Thematic ETF investment options as well as access to ASX 300 shares, ETFs, LICs and Hybrid securities.

Members can select one or multiple investment options and can change investment options at any time from within their member portal.**

The administration fees paid by you after the transition from Smartsave are now $52 + 0.49% ($20 + 0.42% for MySuper members). Your investment fees for Managed Investment Options are unchanged from when you were a member of Smartsave. If you add or change your investment options, investment fees for the new investment you choose will apply.

Your investment options have not changed and are the same as they were in the Smartsave fund structure. You now have access to additional Thematic Investment Options as well as Direct Investments, which include shares listed in the S&P/ASX 300 Index, as well as a range of ETFs, LICs, and Hybrids as a member of Superhero Super.

Your insurance options have not changed during the transition from Smartsave to Superhero Super, providing your account is still active and your balance is sufficient (see the Smartsave Insurance Guide for full details). Your nominated beneficiaries will remain the same as they were when you were a member of Smartsave. You can see your beneficiaries and add new non-binding beneficiaries in your member portal. Binding and reversionary beneficiaries can be added and removed via forms which are available here.

Yes, you will need to notify your employer in order to continue receiving employer contributions. You received the details of your new Superhero Super account with your welcome letter, which you can provide to your employer.

You can also download a pre-filled form from the Profile of your Superhero Super member portal and send it to your employer in order to receive employer contributions into your Superhero Super account.

You will continue to receive your payments according to the same schedule you received your payments as a member of Smartave.

You can choose to have your payments fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly or yearly. For monthly payments, you can decide if you’d prefer to receive payments on the 15th day or the last day of the month.

For quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly payments, you can pick the month you would like your first payment to occur. Payment in the month chosen can be either mid-month or end of month.

If you wish to update your payment frequency and other payment preferences, you can either do so in your Superhero Super member portal or by completing the Change of Details - Retirement form.

You can make an additional contribution to Superhero Super. Additional contributions must be a minimum of $100 and can be made via BPAY.
